FAQs
1. How long will it take to replace my windshield or glass?
The time it takes to replace your specific piece of glass is dependent upon your make and model of vehicle. The representative who takes your call should be able to give you a general estimate if time is a factor (i.e., lunch break, etc.).
2. Can you do the work at my home or office?
Most vehicles can be completed on a mobile basis! We offer free mobile service, pick-up, and delivery service, six days per week. Please contact our customer service representatives for more information.
3. How soon can I drive my car after you have installed the windshield?
The Windshield Guy uses state-of-the-art urethane adhesive. We do recommend you let the vehicle sit as long as possible and limit your driving for the first 12 hours. Always wear your seat belts!
4. Can your installers come to my home or office on snowy days? Is weather a factor in my replacement?
Weather is a factor in the replacement of a windshield or glass. Your vehicle needs to be dry and, preferably, in a warm a environment (Ideally 65 to 85 F°), for urethane to set and cure effectively. However, we can make other arrangements.
5. Do you waive my insurance deductible on a replacement?
It is against the law in some states to waive deductions! The courts have considered this practice to be insurance fraud.
6. If my repair spreads or the windshield becomes cracked after having it repaired, will The Windshield Guy replace my windshield at no charge?
We will credit the cost of the repair to the purchase of a new windshield.
7. Will The Windshield Guy guarantee a repair?
The Windshield Guy’s work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you are unsatisfied with the repair result, contact us and we will take a look at your concern. We cannot guarantee your satisfaction on a repair that is larger than 1 1/4 inches or 3cm., or a windshield that is cracked prior to any repair attempt.
